The traditional “And let the best ones win!“ gave the start to the first chess tournament for the “Zhenski Pazar Market“ Coup. The director of the tournament Borislav Rizov and the Manager of Zhenski Pazar Market Vesela Yordanova greeted the participants and wished them to observe the key principles of the global chess movement and the motto Gens Una Sumus – We are one family“, to show strength of mind, patience and respect of the opponent.

Vesela Yordanova read a welcome address by the executive director of “Vazrazhdane Markets“ EAD Dragomir Dimitrov: “Unfortunately, today I cannot attend the start of a number of tournaments, with which we, the Management of “Vazrazhdane Markets“ EAD wish to transform Zhenski Pazar Market not only into a place for modern trading, but also a place for social communication and fun. Dragomir Dimitrov thanked the partners from the “ChessBomb” Chess Club  – Plovdiv and the Chess Portal ChessBomb.com, tournament’s director Borislav Rizov and everybody, who helped bring to life this event and expressed his enormous gratitude to the Grandmaster Aleksandar Delchev, who – on his birthday – gave chess fans an unforgettable challenge – a session of simultaneous exhibition. The Executive Director of “Vazrazhdane Markets“ Dragomir Dimitrov emphasized the social significance of chess – “an ancient game – challenge to the mind, tradition and wisdom, providing opportunities for self-improvement. The game is based on respect of the opponent. Chess is a game of tolerance, played by the young and old, by women and men, by people of different ethnicities and religions“.

The competition will take place in 9 rounds, according to the Swiss System, according to FIDE’s tournament rules, valid since 1.07.2017 (Appendix В. Blitz –  item В4 will apply). The couples to play will be drawn, using the Swiss Manager software. Play controls:  Blitz –3 (three) minutes for each player until the end of the game, adding 2 (two) seconds before each played move, starting from the first.

Grandmaster Aleksandar Delchev has decided to celebrate his birthday in a rather unusual manner – he is giving a session of simultaneous exhibition. The chess tournament attracted the interest of numerous guests and foreign tourists, visiting the Zhenski Pazar Market.
