AN OFFICIAL FRENCH DELEGATION VISITED ZHENSKI PAZAR MARKET

Senator Yves Dauge, president of the Association of French World Heritage properties and founder of the National Association of French Cities and Regions for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage, Arch. Allain Marinos, experts and members of an official French delegation visited Zhenski Pazar Market. The delegation is in Bulgaria’s capital after an invitation by Sofia’s Mayor Mrs. Yordanka Fandakova, in relation to the participation in the event “Historic Cities of Bulgaria – Preservation and Development”, organized by “24 Hours” Daily and the Sofia Municipality.

The Executive Director of “Vazrazhdane Markets” EAD Dragomir Dimitrov discussed with the guests, the possibilities for creative teams of young architecture undergraduates from France and Bulgaria to work at the Zhenski Pazar Market this autumn.

Vazrazhdane District’s Mayor Savina Savova, the chairman of the Permanent Commission of Education, Culture, Science and Cultural Diversity Mrs. Malina Edreva, the Executive Director of “Vazrazhdane Markets” EAD Dragomir Dimitrov, the deputy mayor of the „Vazrazhdane“ District, arch. NIkolay Dikov, arch. Svobodna Vrancheva and members of her team, discussed the implemented projects for exploration, conservation and renovation of the historic quarter around the Zhenski Pazar Market and the forthcoming activities, related to the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in 2015 between the Mayor of Sofia and the Mayor of the 3rd Arrondissement of Paris – the historic central quarter Le Marais and National Association of French Cities, Regions and Sectors for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage.
