The Disinfection of the Zhenski Pazar Market and Dimitar Petkov Market Goes On, Regular Washing of the Surface Areas Begins As Well
The Municipal Association Pazari Vazrazhdane constantly provides the necessary preventive measures for the officials and the tradesmen
The 19th of March, 2020, Sofia. The regular disinfection of the Zhenski Pazar Market and the Dimitar Petkov Market, as well as the square Rotonda in front of the station, which are administered by the municipal association Pazari Vazrazhdane continues, as they announced from the enterprise. The urgent measures for prevention and non-admission of the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 in the territory of the markets were taken even before the introduction of the extreme situation in the country.
The disinfection of the open market grounds after the finish of the work day will be combined with washing the entire territory of the markets, with a view to a better prevention and health care for the customers and the tradesmen on the sites. The association continues to provide the necessary avails – protective masks, gloves, disinfecting solutions based on spirit to their employees and the tradesmen on the two markets.
“We cannot distribute the prevention avails to the salesmen for free, since we are a tradesmen association, and they are not our employees. But to us the most important is that we have provided the protective avails when our entire country is impeded in this aspect. The masks, the disinfectants and the gloves can be received in the administrative buildings of both markets, and everybody can be equipped with the necessary. We count on the consciousness and responsibility of our tradesmen and we believe they will continue their responsible behavior to themselves and to their customers in the prevention of infection. The people who shop with us can be calm for their health – there is no accumulation of visitors at the same time and people shop by observing the necessary distance,” said Dragomir Dimitrov, an executive director of Pazari Vazrazhdane.
Additionally, with an order of the executive director of Pazari Vazrazhdane, it is administrated to allow a person at a time in the trading sites of the pavilion type on the market sites, and the waiting line to be outside at a 1,5 meters distance. At the same distance of 1,5 meters should shop the customers of the stalls for stand trade.
The measures that have been taken for prevention are in agreement with the recommendatins of the Ministry of Healthcare and the operational headquarters of the Capital’s Municipality for the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus.
